    Leaves puberulous and glabrous. Scape at least towards the base puberulous. Bracts rarely sparingly ciliate. In other characters it is like subsp. stenophyllus.

    Fl.Per.: April-May

    Distribution: Afghanistan, Pakistan (Chitral, N. Baluchistan) and Tajikistan.

    It is used as a vegetable in Baluchistan.
