Arenaria tenera (Boiss.) Edgew.
A small tufted annual with slender, branched stems. Leaves ovate to oblong petiolate. Flowers on filiform pedicels. Calyx cylindrical. Sepals lanceolate, acute, puberulus. Petals oblong, entire, c. 2 x length of sepals. Seeds tuberculate.
Type: “Hab in montibus Pushut ditionis Afghanistan prope.”, Griffith 1669 (K, M).
Distribution: Afghanistan, N. W. Himalaya from Dir, Swat eastward to Kashmir.
