Annual herb, 15-20 cm. branched from the base, branches slender, ascending, glabrous or minutely papillose. Leaves 5-12 x 0.5 mm, linear-subulate, connate at the base, swollen, acute, with broad scarious margins. Inflorescence branched. Pedicels hairy. Sepals 2.2, lanceolate, the inner two, 3.5 mm, the outer 4 mm, glabrous, 3.nerved, with scarious margins, apex acuminate. Petals linear; while, shorter than the calyx, entire Stamens 8, about half the length of the inner sepals. Seeds 2, oblong, tuberculate on the back, faces smooth.

Distribution: Soviet Armenia, Turkestan, S.W. Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan.

Restricted to W. Baluchistan in Pakistan, from 1525-1830 m.
