Type: Cachemire, sine loc., in 1836, Royle s.n. (Holo. K, ex Herb. Benth., iso. K).
Distribution: Temperate Himalya, Kashmir.
The leaves vary in shape from lanceolate to ± ovate. The cymes, unlike the type variety are net spreading. Found up to 3300 m.
