Plant with a woody stock. Stems 5-10, ascending, leafy, with short glandular pubescence, especially above. Radical leaves congested, 15-30 (-40) x (0.8-) 1-1.5 mm, obovate-spathulate or ± ovate-elliptic, base attenuate, apex obtuse; upper leaves smaller in size. Flowers in a ± congested dichasia. Bracts minute, herbaceous, lanceolate-subulate. Pedicel 1-3 mm. Calyx 8-10 mm, basally rounded, slightly narrowing above, greenish-purple, densely glandular-villous; teeth c. 2.5 min, triangular, lanceolate. Petals pinkish (in sicco purple) slightly not more than ½ the calyx, limb oblong-cuneate. Styles c. 7 mm, filiform. Capsule not. seen.
