Perennial with a ± branched woody stock. Stems many (8-) 38-45 cm tell, erect, simple or branching from the base, glabrous. Leaves 10-50 x 0.5-1.5 mm, narrowly linear, basally congested, the cauline adpressed to the stems, smaller in size upwards serrulate, apex acute, glabrous with scabrid margin, Flowers solitary, terminal. Bracteoles 4, ovate mucronate, equaling 1/3 the calyx length. Calyx (15-) 21-26 (-26) mm, contracted at the mounth; teeth lanceolate, acute, ± pungent with a hyaline ± ciliate margin. Petals white, limb c. 10 mm, exserted, toothed at the apex, ebarbulate.
