Subshrubs. Stem woody, covered with remains of stipules, dichotomously branched, branches woody. Leaves 2-3 pinnate, crowded together at the apex of the branches, 2-5 cm. long, petioles 2-3 cm., sericeous. Basal stipules overlapping, rusty brown, membranous, auriculate, adpressed pilose above, cauline stipules ochreate and membranous, brown. Leaflets 5-7, obovate 5-13 x 4-7 mm., finely serrulate, sessile, upper pair with decurrent base, minutely silky hairy above and below, apex acute or obtuse. Flowers 2-3, 2.4-1.8 diam. On forked peducles, pedicel 1.5-2.0 cm. long, sericeous. Calyces densely sericeous, outer sepals 4-5 mm. long, linear-lanceolate, obtuse, inner sepals, longer, c. 6 mm., oblong-ovate, acute. Petals pale white or pinkish white, 7-8 mm., obovate,
apex rounded. Stamens 20-25. Carpels numerous, hirsute, style lateral, c. 3 mm. long, filiform. Achenes densely pilose, ventrally notched.

Distribution: Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.
A rare species of restricted distribution in Pakistan, not found in Kashmir, collected on cliffs of limestone rocks between 2-3,000 m.
