Convolvulus tenellus Stocks
Rigid herb, with erect or ascending branches, appressed-hirsute. Leaves 30-40 mm long, linear-lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, sub-petiolate, acute, attenuate. Flowers 1-3, in axillary cymes, on long slender lateral branches. Bracteoles linear, c. 6 mm long. Pedicel about as long as the calyx. Sepals almost equal, c. 4 mm long, ovate, acute, mucronate, glabrous, semi-membranous. Corolla pink, twice as long as the calyx. Ovary glabrous. Capsule globose, c. 5 mm in diameter. Seeds pubescent.
Type: Pakistan, Baluchistan, Shah Bilawul, Stocks s.n. (K).
F-5 Scinde, Stocks 598 (K). Distribution: Turkestan, Pakistan.
Not a very common species, it is most l ikely restricted to E. Baluchistan and Sind areas in Pakistan. Resembles Convolvulus rottlerianus but can be distinguished by its glabrous sepals.
