Perennial, 30-50 cm high. Stem usually simple, scarcely geniculate, glaucous, smooth, glabrous or glandular, sometimes squamulose at base. Leaves petiolate, distant, 2-3-ternate, leaflets 10-25 x 6-25 mm, obovate to suborbicular, stalked, tridentate or trilobate at apex, lobes or teeth entire, crenate or denticulate, cordate or rounded at base, glabrous and deeply green on the upper, partly glandular pubescent and pale green on the lower side, veins brownish on the lower surface. Inflorescence leafy, paniculate-corymbi-form, not very branched. Pedicels 10-70 mm, simple straight. Flowers large, whitish. Sepals 4-5, 6-10 x 2-3 mm, elliptical. Stamens numerous, filaments 2-3 mm, filiform, whitish, anthers yellowish, 1-2 x t.5 mm, ovoid. Carpels 5-11, at maturity stalked, 6-10 x 1-2 mm, subfusiform, glabrous or glandular, slightly compressed, with 3 simple or branched and anastomosing veins on each side, ventral suture straight, dorsal suture convex. Style hooked, persistent.
