Cotula chinensis Kitam.
Weak annuals with fibrous roots, hairy or glabrate; stems branched at base, branches many, 6-20 mm long, spreading. Radical leaves oblanceolate-oblong, 3-5×1-2 cm, short petiolate, bipinnatifid or bipinnatisect, segments decurrent, apex 5-lobed, lobes oblong, lateral segments lanceolate, apex acuminate, glabrate on both surfaces; middle cauline leaves oblong, 2-2.8×1-1.2 cm, base semiamplexicaul, bipinnatisect, glabrate on both surfaces; upper leaves gradually smaller, pinnatisect. Heads ca. 5 mm in diam., solitary, terminal; peduncle filiform. Involucre short cupiform, 6 mm across, bracts 2-seriate, equal, oblong, obtuse to acute, margins scarious; receptacle nearly flat, tubercled. Outer florets 1-1.5 mm long; corolla none. Central florets: corolla tubular, 0.8 mm long, 4-dentate. Achenes narrowly elliptic, ca. 1×0.4 mm, glandular punctate, narrowly winged.
