Annual herbs; stems 20-70 cm tall, erect, branches spreading, more or less ashy puberulent. Middle cauline leaves many, alternate, membranaceous, sessile or petiolate, ovate to elliptic-lanceolate, 3.5-6×2-3.5 cm, apex obtuse, base rounded-cuneate, attenuate into petiole 1-2 cm long; upper leaves gradually smaller. Heads 20-30-flowered, ovoid, peduncled, in leafy panicles; involucre depressed-globose, 6-7×8-10 mm, bracts 4-seriate, green, outer ones gradually shorter, lanceolate, acuminate, 3-4 mm long, middle and inner bracts narrowly oblong, subtruncate; corolla glabrous, 4.5 mm long, lobes 2 mm long; anthers short bifid at base. Achenes 1-1.8×0.8 mm, 5-ribbed, glabrous. Pappus bristles ca. 3.2 mm long, white.

Widely distributed in tropical Asia. Taiwan, an uncommon weed in the south.
