Gynura crepidioides Benth.
Annual juicy herbs, 30-150 cm tall; stems slightly branched. Leaves elliptic, oblong or ovate-elliptic, 5-18×1-10 cm, tapering into petiole, irregularly pinnately lobed, irregularly serrate. Heads in terminal corymbs, nodding at anthesis, afterwards erect; involucre narrowly campanulate, 8-10 mm long, broadened at base, outer bracteoles linear, unequal, much shorter than inner bracts; corolla yellow-green, limb reddish brown, occasionally yellow. Achenes cylindric, slightly contracted toward base and apex, deep red brown, 10-ribbed, with appressed white hairs in furrows. Pappus ca. 12 mm long, sparsely puberulent between ribs.

Native of tropical Africa, widely naturalized in the tropics and subtropics. Taiwan, a common weed along roadsides, in waste fields and in deforested areas at low to mid elevations.
