Stems elongate, stout, many branched, with a tuft of rosulate leaves at apex. Flowering branches ascending, branched. Radical leaves auriculate, 4.5-5.5×1.2-1.6 cm, apex rounded, base narrowed, margins denticulate, glabrous on both surfaces; median leaves 20-24×8-10 mm, apex rounded, base clasping, margins slightly denticulate; upper leaves gradually smaller, not secondarily crowded on ascending flowering stems. Heads few, corymbose; peduncle 5-9 mm long. Involucre tubular, 6-8×3-5 mm, outer bracts in 1 series, ovate, 1 mm long, inner 8, oblong-lanceolate, obtuse. Corolla yellow, 8×1.5 mm. Achenes 4 mm long, 10-ribbed. Pappus white, 3 mm long. Chromosome number, 2n = 10 (Peng & Hsu, 1978).

Endemic; local in southernmost littoral regions of Taiwan.
