Glabrous annuals. Radical leaves rosulate, long petiolate, oblanceolate-oblong, 5-10×1.4-2.5 cm, lyrate-pinnatisect, terminal segment rounded, remotely dentate, mucronulate at apex, lateral lobes gradually smaller toward base, 1-3 pairs, spreading, ovate to oblong, mucronulate at apex; petiole narrowly winged. Scapiform stems slender, stoloniferous, ascending, once branched, to 15 cm long (including peduncle), with or without leaflets, peduncle 1.5-5 cm, with linear-lanceolate bracts at base, bracts 2-3 mm long. Heads 1 cm across; involucral bracts of 2-series, outer bracts 5, ovate, 1-1.5×1 mm, green flushed with purple at apex, scarcely pubescent; inner bracts 5, oblong, 4.5-5×1-1.2 mm, scarcely pubescent. Florets 8-10, yellow, 4-5×1.5-2 mm, 5-lobed; style to 4 mm, stigma bifid, ovary 0.8 mm long. Achenes 6 or 7, light brown, oblong, 3-sided, ribbed, 4 mm long, 1 mm thick, toothed at apex. Fl. Nov-May.
