    Stems erect, 45-80 cm tall, glabrous toward base, branched apically, branches spreading, densely crisp puberulous. Cauline leaves numerous, middle ones petiolate, hastate, 4-13 cm long, 4.5-10 cm wide, apex attenuate-acuminate, margins mucronulate, lateral lobes acuminate, base cordate, upper surface green, lower surface pale, puberulous on both surfaces; upper leaves gradually smaller, uppermost leaves linear. Heads many, in panicles; peduncle 4-10 mm long. Involucre not calyculate, cylindric, 7-10×4-7 mm, densely crisp puberulent; bracts 7 or 8, narrowly oblong, obtuse. Florets 10-13 per head; corolla 8-9 mm long. Achenes 5 mm long, glabrous; pappus ca. 8 mm long.

    Endemic; grassy slopes in high mountains, 2,500-3,000 m, rare.
