Leaves many, pilose on both surfaces when young, becoming glabrate, oblanceolate to oblanceolate-linear, 8-20×*1-4 cm, apex obtuse-mucronulate, base attenuate into winged petiole, pinnately cleft, segments of 4 or 5 pairs, deltoid, obtuse, terminal lobes deltoid or hastate. Scapes several, shorter than leaves or equal, densely hairy. Heads 35-45 mm wide; involucre 15-16 mm long, outer bracts linear or linear-lanceolate, 7-9×*1.5-2 mm, corniculate, margins white hyaline, apex slightly pilose, inner ones linear-lanceolate, corniculate; corolla yellow, marginal florets 17-21 mm long, tube pubescent or not. Achenes oblong, brown, ca. 3.5×*1.2 mm, grooved, densely warty, apex muricate, beak 7-9 mm long. Pappus 6.5-7 mm long. Chromosome number, 2n = 16 (Peng & Hsu, 1978).
