Senecio divaricata L.
Stems decumbent, rooting at base, upright shoots 20-50 cm tall, subscapose. Lower leaves carnose, spatulate-oblong, 8-10×2-4.5 cm, pubescent on both surfaces, apex obtuse, base narrowed to petiole, with pseudostipules or margins amplexicaul, often lyrate-pinnatifid, segments 1 or 2 pairs, median cauline leaves smaller, sessile, oblong, pinnatifid or dentate, base sheathing, with pseudostipules; upper leaves few, linear-lanceolate to linear, 5-20 mm long. Heads 2-5, 18 mm long, peduncle 5-7 cm long; involucre tubular, 11×12-15 mm, bracts lanceolate, puberulous, acute to acuminate, margins scarious; corolla 14-15 mm long. Achenes cylindric, 4.5×0.8 mm, 10-ribbed, puberulous. Pappus white, 1 cm long. Chromosome number, 2n = 20 (Peng & Hsu, 1978).

Endemic; a littoral plant of northern and eastern Taiwan, occasional in lowland areas.
