Picris morrisonensis Hayata
Stems 20-65 cm tall, densely pilose, branched. Lower cauline leaves linear-lanceolate, 6-16 cm×5-8 mm, apex acute, base gradually narrowed, sessile, hispid on both surfaces, margins mucronulate-dentate; cauline leaves linear-lanceolate, median ones 4-7.5×0.3-0.5 cm, apex obtuse or acuminate, base sessile; upper leaves smaller, linear. Heads in loose corymbs; peduncle 3-7 cm long, hispid; involucre 9-12×6-9 mm, bracts in 2 or 3-series, hispid; corolla deep yellow, 11-12×1.3 mm. Achenes reddish brown, 4-5 mm long, beak 0.5 mm long; pappus 5-7 mm long. Chromosome number, 2n = 10 (Peng & Hsu, 1978).
