大天蓬草舅
Wedelia robusta (Makino) Kitam.
Stems much elongate; leaves thick chartaceous to somewhat coriaceous, ovate, 3-12×1.5-6 cm, apex acute, base cuneate, loosely obtuse-toothed, petiole 3-28 mm long; heads 20-25 mm across, in 3s or sometimes solitary.
ILAN: Chuangwei, Peng 7028. HUALIEN: Shoufeng, Takeng, Peng 7380.
Japan. Taiwan, in littoral regions.
This is a new record for Taiwan. Koyama (1995) reported this variety as endemic to Japan. The specimens cited above are identifiable to var. robusta. We suspect that var. robusta is the result of hybridization between Wedelia biflora and W. prostrata var. prostrata.
