Pterocypsela ×mansuensis (Hayata) C.-I Peng, comb. nov.
恆春山苦藚
Lactuca xmansuensis Hayata
HUALIEN: Taroko, Peng 2660.
Kitamura (1956) noted that the type specimen of Lactuca×mansuensis had glabrous leaves and achenes with a slightly longer beak. He considered it and several other herbarium specimens collected at Mt. Daijurin, Takao, and Taroko, Karenko to represent hybrids between L. formosana and L. indica. The cauline leaves in these specimens are amplexicaul and have a caudate apex. The undersurface of the leaves is hairy along the midrib and the achenes have a beak ca. 1 mm long.
