Pterocypsela C. Shih
刺果菊屬
Annual, biennial or perennial herbs. Leaves entire or mostly variously lobed-pinnatisect. Heads in corymbs, panicles or racemes. Flowers yellow. Achenes flattened, elliptic-oblong to obovate, 1-3-striate on each side, with thin broad wings, glabrous, black, beak distinct but usually short. Pappus bristles many, fine, white, scabrid.
About 11 species in eastern and southeastern Asia, mainly in China; two species in Taiwan.
