YASIN J. NASIR
Perennial herbs with alternate and broad leaves. Calyx 5-partite, lobes reflexed in fruit. Corolla tube short, limb flat; throat scales present. Stamens and styles included. Gynophore broadly pyramidal. Nutlets dorso-ventrally compressed, with a flat middle dorsal area, axceeding the style length; ventral keel very short.
40-50 species, mostly N. America, Europe and Asia. Represented in Pakistan by 2 species.
