Convolvulus besseri Spreng.
Perennial, 3-35 cm tall, with a woody base and procumbent or ascending herbaceous stems, densely appressed sericeous. Leaves 25-50 (-60) x 8-10 (-15) mm, sericeous, lanceolate to oblanceolate to elliptic, subacute, base attenuate, basal leaves wider and scarious at the base. Flowers 1-many, axillary or terminal. Bracts longer than the inflorescence. Outer sepals c. 12 mm long, lanceolate, acute to acuminate, convex at the base, inner c.8 mm long, linear, broader and convex at the base, the upper part green, the lower colorless. All sepals densely sericeous. Corolla pink, c. 20 mm long. Style c. 5 mm long, ovary and style hairy. Fruit 6-7 mm ling, oblong-ovoid or obvoid pubescent. Seeds black, 3 mm long, puberulous.

Found gro wing in dry open areas at c. 2500m. The leaves form a rosette and are variable in shape.
