Prostrate branched, pubescent herb up to 32 cm long. Leaves 12-27 x 3-10 mm, uppermost leaves smaller, obovate to lanceolate, undulate. Flowers blue to white, small, pedicellate; pedicels 2-3 mm long. Calyx 2.5-4 mm long, slightly accrescent, ± stellate in fruit, lobes linear-lanceolate. Corolla tube ± equalling calyx; lobes obtuse, ± spreading. Throat with 5 emarginate minute scales. Anthers c. 0.5 mm long, ovate, obtuse, attached below the throat. Style ± 0.5 mm long. Nutlets c. 1 mm long, minutely tubercled-scabrous, brown, basal ring minutely scabrous, ± elliptic.

Uncommon and perhaps overlooked due to small size. Found up to 1676 m.
