Herb 10-25 (-30) cm tall. Stems erect divaricately branched, rigid, glabrous at the internodes, glandular-pubescent near the nodes or glabrous throughout. Leaves 7- 14 x 0.75-1 mm, linear, apex acute, base sessile with a hyaline cilia margin; with ± glandular hairs. Flowers solitary in the axils of leaves or up to 6 in axillary fascicles. Pedicels 2-3 mm, thick, glandular-pubescent. Calyx 12-15 m narrowly cylindrical, glandular-pubescent, 15-nerved, teeth lanceolate. Petals pink, claw as long as the calyx tube, limb bifid. Capsule cylindrical, included in the calyx.

Distribution: Mediterranean region, Caucasus, Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Found in stony and gravelly places from 300-1000 m.
