Perennial herb. Stem reduced, not more than a few cms. Leaf imparipinnate, petiole (1)-3.5-7-(15) cm long, rachis 4-10-(22) cm long, leaflets 7-21, 6-17 mm long, 3-6 mm broad, elliptic, oblong to oblong-lanceolate, mucronate, obtuse, densely pilose on both sides, becoming subglabrous. Inflorescence a 2-9-flowered umbel, peduncle 5-17-(29) cm long. Bracts 2-5 mm long. Pedicel 1-2 mm long, bracteoles 2-3 mm long, at the base of the calyx. Calyx 6-7 mm long, 2 teeth of the upper lip 3-4 mm long, 3 of the lower lip c. 2 mm long. Corolla light violet to yellowish orange tipped with violet. Vexillum 9-14 mm long. Fruit 9-17-(22) mm long, 2-4 mm broad, many-seeded.
