Cortia papyraceum (C.B. Clarke) Leute
Plants glabrous. Stem base woody, not fibrous. Leaves bipinnate; pinnae lanceolate to ovate, pinnatifid to pinnatipartite; ultimate segments linear to oval. Involucre of 1 or 2 filiform bracts or lacking. Rays 8-2o, scabrid, 1-2 cm long. Involucel of 6-10 long linear bractlets. Calyx teeth not distinct. Petals greenish white to purplish. Fruit ellipsoid to oblong, 3-4 mm long, 1.5-2 mm broad; dor¬sal and intermediate ridges winged, lateral broadly winged; dorsal furrows 1-vittate, lateral 1-(2)-vittate; commissure 4-vittate. Inner seed face plane.

Distribution: Himalayas in India and W. Pakistan.
