Tetracme stocksii

Annual, 8-25 cm long, spreading or suberect, branched, clothed with short, branched or sub-stellate hairs. Leaves oblong-linear or oblanceolate, sinuate-dentate to subentire; lower 25-55 mm long, 5-8 mm broad; upper 10-40 mm long, 2-7 mm broad. Racemes 20-30-flowered, up to 10 cm long in fruit. Flowers c. 3.5 mm across, yellow; pedicels up to 4 mm long in fruit, thickened, erect, appressed, with fruits often Ā± out curved above. Sepals c. 2 mm long. Petals c. 3 mm long, 1.5 mm broad. Stamens c. 1.5:2 mm long. Siliquae (6-) 8-10 mm long, 1 mm broad, slightly torulose, clothed with short branched stellate hairs; horns 0.5-1 mm long, erect, conical; seeds 3-4 in each locule, c. 1 mm long, oblong.

Fl. Per.: March-May.

Type: Pakistan, Baluchistan, Gurghina, Stocks 974 (K).

Distribution: Endemic.

Differs from Tetracme quadricornis (Steph.) Bunge by its larger flowers and sinuateĀ¬dentate leaves.
