Allium scabrum Gilli
Plants up to 35 cm tall. Bulb ovoid, fibrous, coriaceous, greyish brown; inner membranous. Leaves 2-3, semicylindric, fistular, 0.5-1 mm broad, pubescent. Umbels 5-6 cm across; flowers laxly arranged. Pedicels 3-4 cm long, curved, reddish brown. Perigonium narrowly campanulate. Tepals 4-5 mm long, elliptic, purplish-white, acute. Filaments 1/2 to 2/3 the length of the tepals, connate about half the length of the filaments; outer filaments entire, narrowly triangular; inner broader, 2-dentate.

Type: Afghanistan: Kabul, Gilli 190(W).
Not a common species. It can be recognized by its laxly arranged flowers and very long, curved, reddish-brown pedicels.
