Ficus carica var. rupestris Hausskn. ex. Boiss.
A large shrub or small tree. Leaves broadly ovate to ovate-oblong, mostly longer than broad, regularly serrate or occasionally shallowly 3-lobed, basally cordate, acute to ± obtuse, scabrous above, softly densely pubescent beneath. Figs pyriform and stipitate to globose and stipeless, frequently densely short hairy.
Fl. & Fr. Per.: July-October.
Syntypes: Numerous from Anatolia, Syria, Iraq and Iran (G, JE).
Distribution: Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Cultivated for its fruits in Baluchistan and N.W.F. Province.
