Valde similis forma paludosae sed pedunculis (8-) 12-20. mm longis, invol. bracteis ad basin cordatis, conduplicatis. Differs from the type from paludosa by the involucral bracts or spathes cordate at base, free to the base at the margins, folded, borne on conspicuous, (8-) 12-20 mm long peduncles.
