  • Eupatorium luchuense var. kiirunense Kitam.

    Stems 1 m long, erect, mostly simple, crisp puberulous apically. Lower leaves much smaller; median cauline leaves thick, ovate-oblong, 8-10×5.5-7 cm, apex acute to short acuminate, base rounded or truncate, upper surface green, lower surface pale and sparsely pilose, margins crenate-serrate, mucronulate; upper leaves about equal to median ones in size, those subtending inflorescence slightly smaller; petiole 1-2 cm long, Heads in subcompact corymbs; involucre cylindric, 5 mm long; florets 5, white, bracts 10, 2- or 3-seriate, rounded, glabrous, outer ones shorter. Achenes cylindric, 2.5 mm long, hirsute. Pappus scanty, white, 4 mm long.
