Perennial or biennial herbs, resembling Paracaryum but differing in the nutlets with wings that are not reflexed, leaving the middle dorsal area clear.

About 30 species, mainly S.W. Asia. Represented in Pakistan by 6-7 species.


1 Corolla 9-12 mm long. Calyx lobes 3-5 mm long   (2)
